Govt distributes relief rice in Chongwe

Chongwe District Commissioner Evans Lupiya has flagged off the distribution of 600 bags of relief rice to vulnerable households affected by the 2024/2025 drought across all 21 wards of the district. The relief, provided through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU), is part of government’s ongoing interventions to cushion vulnerable groups from food insecurity.
